Job Description:The Jewish Institute for National Security of America (JINSA), a non-profit, non-partisan policy organization focused on strengthening U.S. national security and the U.S.-Israel security relationship, seeks a motivated and mission driven individual to join our team as a Development Associate to assist with foundation and donor research/cultivation, grant application and report writing, database management, donor outreach, and more.This is a full-time position. Applicants should be based in Washington, DC. This position will report to the Director of Development and Managing Director.Duties:Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective foundations and donors.Research and identify prospective funding opportunities relevant to the organizations mission.Conduct research on existing and prospective donors and foundations.Database and email list maintenance and management (Raisers Edge/Constant Contact).Creation and tracking of renewal/acknowledgement letters to donors, gift and registration fee reports for CFO.Assist in planning and executing fundraising events and meetings.Work on grant proposals and reports.Respond to funder questions and concerns.Some domestic travel may be required.Qualifications/Skills:1-3+ years of relevant experience. Some development experience preferred.Strong writing and verbal communication skills.Bachelors degree (minimum).High attention to detail and strong time-management skills.Self-starter who is comfortable working alone or collaboratively with a team.Proficient in basic office software, such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.Ability to demonstrate perseverance and determination in overcoming challenges; grit and tenacity.Understanding of the pro-Israel landscape.Flexible hours.Compensation:
