Associate Director of Traditional Undergraduate Admissions

A strategic thinker to work alongside members of Greenville University's Enrollment Leadership Team. A successful candidate should be able to think about enrollment through the lenses of innovation, immersion, and interconnectedness.
Leadership Responsibilities:
Responsible for hiring and supervising the traditional admissions student workers who are trained to articulate university messages, select the best-fit GU students, and to provide exceptional service to families. Ultimate responsibility for the productivity and performance of this team.Assists the director in managing recruitment travel assignments and registration for all events.Assists the director in managing travel publications and serves as lead/liaison between marketing on those projects.Ability to develop relationships with students and leaders of ethnically underrepresented backgrounds through culturally responsive and informed conversations and outreach events.Works with the Enrollment Leadership Team to execute admission and scholarship policy and strategy to meet new student enrollment goals. Promotes strategies across campus by developing relationships with individuals and offices that may play a role in admission work and achievement of goals.Is a member of the Enrollment Leadership Team which develops overall enrollment strategy for both freshmen and transfer students. Responsible for presenting agenda items and perspective related to recruitment.Collaborates with Enrollment Leadership Team and Marketing to shape university messages for new student publications, web content, advertising, and other marketing strategies and products focused on new students.Manages a set of students for the purposes of moving them through the admissions process. Travels to assigned areas visiting high schools, community colleges, and church para-church organizations, college fairs, and individual families.Utilizes the admissions CRM (Slate) to carry out strategic initiatives, analyze reports, and manage recruitment efforts. Must have a high level of knowledge and comfort with this tool.Admissions Representative Key Responsibilities:
Recognize that any activity related to the role and scope of Greenville University is a personal responsibility; mature conduct and professional work are always expected. This position requires that the person is actively participating in a wide variety of social media activities. Therefore, staff members must take care as well to ensure that personal use of social media does not negatively impact the workplace, or the institution.Travel to target areas and participate in new student recruitment events (high school visits, churches, and college fairs).Support recruitment efforts, including campus tours and on- and off-campus events as needed, to ensure guests have a positive experience.Communicate with prospective students at various stages of the admissions cycle.Develop and implement special projects to support student recruitment as needed and maintain current knowledge and training of university and campus-wide systems used for recruitment and admissions to ensure data accuracy.Assist in evaluating program effectiveness, assessing outcomes, and developing improved programming to achieve goals.Requirements
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree, preferred. Education in marketing or related industry experience, a plus.Two years of progressively responsible experience in university enrollment is preferred.Experience in Christian higher education and professional experience in an enrollment management model, a plus.An understanding of how to responsibly utilize social media in a work environment.Self-motivated.Ability to manage time well on a varying work schedule.Clean Driving Record.Demonstrated skills in written and oral communication, effective public speaking skills. Interpersonal and team development skills for effective staff leadership and management; exceptional human relational skills.Excellent proactive planning, organizational and project management skills. Effective resource management.Valid driver's license.Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.A maturing and contagious Christian faith. Knowledge of, ability to articulate, and willingness to actively support the Christian mission of the University and accept the life-style standards of Greenville University
