Organizational context and job purpose
INEOS Nitriles is a global chemicals business with sales volume of 1200 kte and revenue in excess of $3 billion. The Nitriles business has 2 manufacturing operations in the US and 1 in Europe along with offices and headquarters in Rolle, Switzerland and Aurora, Illinois near Chicago. The Nitriles Business primary products include acrylonitrile, hydrogen cyanide, and acetonitrile. Additionally, Nitriles also has a manufacturing operation that produces catalyst for internal use at the Lima Site, globally within Ineos, and for other Acrylonitrile producers. The INEOS Nitriles Plant at Lima is part of an industrial campus which includes a refinery and chemical complex. INEOS share services, utilities, products, and feedstocks with four adjacent manufacturing facilities: Nutrien (ammonia, urea, nitric acid), Fort Amanda Specialties (chelates), Ashland (1,4-butanediol), and Cenovus Refining (propylene, fuels, and refined oil products).
This position is accountable for planning of maintenance work ensuring that all work activities are planned proactively, in a safe and environmentally sound manner, assuring compliance with established codes, procedures. To identify cost-effective means of completing necessary work, during the development of the specific job plans for the area. This includes the development of planned work execution packages for maintenance repairs and improvement projects, assist area core team in developing a weekly maintenance schedule based on resource availability and on time procurement of required materials.
The Total Quality Management System shall be incorporated into all job activities. All job activities should be executed in a safe and efficient manner consistent with the INEOS 20 Principles.Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesDevelop job plans that are logically sequenced for safe and efficient work execution. Key plan elements include:
required skill crafts and durationrequired tools and equipmentoptimal scheduling logic between operationsrequisition for necessary parts and materialstask lists for repetitive jobsaccurate Bills of Material (BOM's) where appropriatespecial instructions and required documentation such as QA/QC needs, piping schematics, safety such as hazard identification and mitigation as well as environment compliance directives as applying to the specific work activities
Create reusable job plans in SAP and demonstrate ownership of all SAP data associated with reusable job plans (Bills of Material (BOMs), accurate hours associated with each task, etc.) by ensuring reusable job plans are updated with current data obtained during the execution of the work in the field.Audit PM and PPM maintenance orders for correct entry data and cost settlement information.Solicit feedback on executed jobs plans and make any necessary changes to ensure that planning and work efficiency continues to improve.Ensure continuous improvement into the job preparation and planning processes through feedback on work execution.Serve as a technical resource to unit operating and mechanical personnel using SAP and other software as required.Create requisitions for the procurement of materialsCoordinate activities on purchases and deliveries through the Procurement Department.Audit repairable and non-stock parts to ensure availability and adjust inventory as required.Maintenance Supervisory vacancy fillSHE Management:
Follow all safety rules, assure that all technicians are made aware of safe working practices, and promote safety programs on shift.Ensure environmental compliance by audit of fugitive emission/relief valve orders and prioritize scheduling to meet compliance targets.Ensure that job plans are consistent with plant policies and procedures.Ensure completion of near miss/accident electronic reporting reports as necessaryComplete annual safety training and conduct necessary SHE training as required.Skills & Knowledge RequiredEducation/Experience
B.S in Engineering/Technical or High School Diploma with minimum three years relevant experience in industrial environment.SAP skills are a plus. This includes, but not limited to, running list edit reports, creating and changing maintenance items and task lists, creating and changing notifications, orders, and creating requisitions.Skills/CompetenciesHave a strong mechanical background.Willingness and ability to visit work sites in the field.Knowledge of safety, maintenance, and operations management systemsBe able to read and understand technical drawings and documentation associated with production equipment, vessels and tankage.Be able to communicate effectively both orally and writtenWork and interact effectively as a team member.Focuses efforts and prioritizes work to deliver business value.Providing constructive feedback to peersHave a strong mechanical background in an industrial environmentEffectively organizes work while balancing competing priorities.Preferred candidate will have used SAP in the performance of maintenance planningProficient in use of SAP, electronic reporting, Excel, Outlook or Lotus notes, and MS Word
