The lead IAM Engineer for Zero-Trust will have direct influence in shaping and driving the overall Zero-Trust solution for one of the most exciting companies on the planet. You will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and automation of Tesla's global Zero-Trust platforms in a highly available and globally dispersed footprint. Extensive knowledge of Zero-Trust architecture, principles, and best practices, experience and skill in automation, capacity planning, performance monitoring, optimization and troubleshooting are essential. Open to Austin, Seattle, and Buffalo locations.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, & implement a comprehensive Zero Trust architecture across the organization and develop policies & procedures for access control, identity verification, & security monitoring that align with Zero Trust principlesTranslate cybersecurity needs and capabilities into detailed technical solutions and requirementsShape Zero Trust policies by working with internal stakeholders & collaborate with IT, network, and security teams to ensure a seamless and secure integration of Zero Trust principles into all technology projectsRespond to outages within the SLA/OLA timelines & provide detailed postmortem reports and conducting critical path analysis, risk analysis, and task dependency analysisDevelop custom reporting, dashboards, and metrics to bring visibility to all layers of the Zero-Trust servicePerform proactive analysis of infrastructure to deliver optimized capacity & performance planning, drive process, build, and deployment automation through scripting or programmingManage vendor relationships and evaluate new technologies to enhance our security posture within the Zero Trust framework and initiate preventive maintenance on Zero-Trust platform components as well as coordinate the testing and repair of Zero-Trust client issuesDocument physical/logical solutions documentation, implementation procedures, operations task, and user documentation required to support an enterprise serviceAnalyze system faults, troubleshoot, and run diagnostic tests on operating systems and software to detect and quickly resolve complex problemsParticipate in 24/7 on-call rotation as requiredRequirements
Experience in deployment and implementation of Zero Trust strategies and global enterprise network architectures and designsExperience with global enterprise-level client deployments and upgrade strategiesSubject matter expertise of Zero Trust concepts, capabilities, strategies, and metricsExpert knowledge in documenting and implementing best practicesExperience with automation and CI/CD is preferredStrong troubleshooting and proactive analytical skillsHands on experience with Zero-Trust platforms and technologies (Akamai, Zscaler, etc.)Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experienceExperience in mission-critical operations, ideally within a 24x7 large scale global environmentCompensation and BenefitsBenefits

$168,000 - $300,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
