Accounting Manager
Introduction:
The Cedar Rapids Ball Club, Inc., a minor league baseball organization consisting of the Cedar Rapids Kernels, Waterloo Bucks and Kernels Concessions is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. This position performs a variety of fiscal duties and is responsible for accurate bookkeeping and financial reporting.
Responsibilities:• Provide accounting support during Cedar Rapids Kernels games. (Some nights, holidays and weekends required.)• Perform all accounts receivable functions (invoicing, payment postings and collections).• Ensure accurate coding and posting of payables, payroll, and receivables.• Maintain all supporting spreadsheets and ledgers.• Responsible for the creation of accurate and timely financial reports.• Performs multiple bank and account reconciliations.
Qualifications:• Possess excellent Financial Aptitude, Analytical Skills, Problem-Solving and Leadership.• Strong verbal and written communication skills.• Willingness to work some nights, holidays and weekends during the baseball season.• Possess effective computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook and QuickBooks.• Bachelor's degree in Accounting recommended but not required. Prior accounting/finance experience will be considered.• 3+ years of Accounting/Finance leadership.
