Working in collaboration with our partners, our studio provides planning, and design services of the highest caliber. We have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects from urban parks, plazas, and mixed-use retail destinations to themed entertainment venues and master planned resort hospitality projects worldwide.
Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a senior level Architect to join our growing team in our Orlando, FL office. The Architect is a licensed professional with the primary role of designing and potentially managing one or more projects of various complexity and scope.
Your Key Responsibilities
Develops designs for projects in a variety of sectors (hospitality, themed entertainment, multi-family residential, commercial, retail).
Advocates and inspires creativity, critical thought and design excellence both internally and externally.
Support Business Development activities, including marketing proposals, interview, conference attendance, etc.
Acts as a mentor, teacher and coach to design staff with the goal of growing and guiding them through their careers.
Evaluate and assimilate design changes introduced by the client or project architect.
Coordinate the architectural design with other members of the design team along with engineering consultants and specialist design disciplines.
Provide production for multiple projects with concurrent schedules, while providing supervision and guidance for project team.
Assist in the preparation of deliverables (reports and drawings) at all project phases.
Support good practices and established policies on project delivery, quality control, and safety.
Continuously contribute to our team’s goal of delivering excellence – in design, project delivery and communication.
Travel to projects internationally and other states for client meetings and site visits.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Strong knowledge of building construction systems, constructability, materials, and industry associated standards.
Strong BIM knowledge and Revit proficiency is a must.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and others.
Knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes.
Able to work effectively in managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with clients and design team members.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field is required.
Architecture license is preferred.
Minimum of seven years of experience is required.
LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred.
Typical office environment working with computers. Hybrid work arrangements may be considered. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
