As one of the world's leading law firms, we seek dynamic individuals who share our commitment to service, innovation, and professional growth.We have an opening for an Assistant, Business Development Events in our New York office.In this capacity, the Assistant, Business Development Events will:Assist with both internal (colleague) and external (client) events, both in person and virtual;Create budgets, timelines and milestones for events;Conduct venue and vendor research, manage an interactive venue map;Help coordinate event details including menu, decor, and entertainment;Provide updates to business development team on attendance, deadlines and deliverables;On-site event management and post-event follow-up including final cost reporting, follow-up correspondence and activity tracking;Manage the event closet, supplies and branded gift ordering; andHandle additional related projects and administrative duties as assigned.Proficiencies:Organized and detail-oriented with strong administrative skills;Exceptional oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, including the ability to confidently and diplomatically work with all levels of colleagues, clients and vendors;Must be available to work overtime and evenings as needed;Energetic, motivated, and self-starter;Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and perform well under pressure;Advanced-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;Advanced-level proficiency in online research and internet resources; andAdvanced proficiency in English language usage, including punctuation, spelling, grammar, and writing skills.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree (required); andAt least 1 year experience in event planning (preferred).Employees will be provided with an excellent career opportunity in a collaborative environment, in addition to a generous total compensation package with the opportunity to earn bonuses based on individual contribution and firm profitability.The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $46,800 and a maximum of $60,000 annually.
