JOB SUMMARY
The Business Systems Analyst I is accountable for completing systems development, quality assurance, and day to day operational tasks in support of ongoing benefits administration delivery, both internally and externally to clients within their portfolio of clients/ aligned pod. The Business Systems Analyst I ensures that all work delivered to the client is configured accurately per the system requirements, including assigned Annual Enrollment configuration responsibilities and dual-year tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage, execute and track assigned client deliverables by maintaining and using processing guides according to processing calendar, and use process tracking system daily to ensure adherence to client SLAs (Service Level Agreements)Work closely with the Shared Services teams (ASOPS, BPSS, Service Center) to deliver quality results of ancillary servicesAnalyze and understand client requirements for the execution of implementation, Annual Enrollment and ongoing changesCreate, execute, and maintain accurate and detailed test plans (unit, function, integration, and regression) for all new system functionality testingLeverage technology to automate ongoing processes and create the most efficient and stable delivery of services to clientsResponsible for issue research, resolution and basic system configuration with senior supportResearch and analyze cases, working with team resources to put in place solutions to address root cause with the intent to reduce ongoing case volume and effectively prevent reoccurring system issuesPossess basic knowledge and understanding of current system functionality; escalate gaps in functionality, as appropriateResponsible for key dashboard items, including change management tickets, case management, issue trending, and data checksResponsible for clear documentation of processing guides and technical documentationContribute to client satisfaction through quality work product and provide timely internal and external responsesWork with managers and client teams to support timely provision migrations for aligned clientsRecord time accurately in accordance with stated deadlines to the correct project and category to ensure that scope, cost and resources allocation per project can be calculatedParticipate in internal and external meetings with client and third party vendorsPerform other duties as assignedREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Intermediate level skills required in MS Excel, Critical Thinking and Attention to DetailContinuously builds Health and Welfare domain knowledgeBeginner level of SQL proficiencyIn order to be successful in the above mentioned responsibilities, experience in the following skills are required:

Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
In lieu of Bachelor's degree, equivalent years of experience in business analytics, management information systems, human resources management, benefits administration or a related field
Domain experience in health insurance and/or benefit administration is a plusExperience with MS Excel preferredExperience with SQL and a working knowledge of relational database systems preferredDemonstrated analytic and design capabilitiesKnowledge of case or ticket management systems such as CRM or Atlassian JIRAUnderstanding of testing methodology and test planningOr, any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered
