We are looking for ERP Developer who will be responsible for designing, implementing, customizing, and managing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to support an organization's business processes. They work on various ERP platforms, such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Infor, to build modules, integrate data, and ensure that the ERP system aligns with business requirements. ERP Developers play a crucial role in helping businesses manage resources efficiently, automate workflows, and gain real-time insights into operations.Core Responsibilities

ERP System Design and Customization

Analyze business requirements and design ERP solutions tailored to support specific business functions (e.g., finance, sales, supply chain).Customize modules, forms, workflows, and reports within the ERP to meet organizational needs.Modify existing ERP features and develop new functionalities based on evolving requirements.

Data Integration and Migration

Integrate the ERP system with other business applications (CRM, HR, accounting software) to ensure seamless data flow.Design and execute data migration strategies to import data from legacy systems into the ERP.Develop and configure API integrations, web services, and data connectors to connect the ERP with external applications and databases.

Workflow and Process Automation

Develop and configure workflows within the ERP to automate manual processes, such as order processing, approvals, and inventory management.Implement rules, triggers, and validations to enforce business policies and streamline operations.Build custom workflows to address unique process requirements, ensuring efficiency and consistency.

Report Development and Business Intelligence

Create customized reports and dashboards within the ERP to provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.Use reporting tools (e.g., SAP Crystal Reports, Oracle BI) to design real-time data visualizations and support decision-making.Develop data models and views to enable detailed analysis and reporting on ERP data.

Testing and Quality Assurance

Conduct unit testing on ERP customizations to ensure accuracy and functionality.Collaborate with end-users for user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that the solution meets requirements.Debug and troubleshoot issues within ERP modules, workflows, and integrations, resolving errors efficiently.

System Maintenance and Upgrades

Monitor ERP performance, apply patches, and perform regular system maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.Manage ERP version upgrades and ensure customizations are compatible with new versions or updates.Document configurations, changes, and customizations to facilitate future maintenance and support.

Security and Compliance Management

Implement role-based access control (RBAC) to restrict data and functionality based on user roles.Ensure the ERP complies with organizational and industry regulations, such as SOX, GDPR, or HIPAA.Regularly review and update security settings to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance.

End-User Training and Support

Provide training and documentation for end-users to facilitate effective use of ERP features and customizations.Develop training materials, user manuals, and quick guides to assist users in navigating the system.Offer ongoing support, troubleshooting user issues, and responding to queries.

Key Skills

ERP Platform Proficiency

Strong knowledge of one or more ERP platforms, such as SAP, Oracle ERP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Infor.Familiarity with ERP architecture, modules, and functionalities, including finance, inventory, HR, and sales.Experience configuring and customizing ERP modules and workflows.

Programming and Scripting Skills

Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in ERP development, such as SQL, Java, C#, and ABAP (for SAP).Ability to develop custom scripts, stored procedures, and functions to enhance ERP functionality.Familiarity with development tools specific to ERP platforms, such as SAP GUI, Oracle Developer, or Visual Studio.

Database and Data Management

Expertise in relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL for data management within ERP systems.Knowledge of database design, data modeling, and optimizing queries for ERP data handling.Experience with data migration, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data integration.

API and Web Services Integration

Experience working with APIs, RESTful and SOAP web services to integrate ERP with external applications.Ability to create custom connectors and data integration workflows for seamless data exchange.Knowledge of middleware tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi) to manage ERP integration and data flows.

Business Process Understanding

Deep understanding of key business processes (e.g., order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, manufacturing, financial reporting).Ability to map business processes to ERP functionalities and optimize workflows.Experience working closely with stakeholders to identify requirements and align ERP capabilities.

Testing and Troubleshooting

Skills in testing ERP customizations, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.Experience using debugging tools and techniques to identify and resolve issues in ERP modules and integrations.Proficiency in documenting test cases and tracking issue resolution.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex ERP requirements.Effective communication skills to work with stakeholders, end-users, and cross-functional teams.Attention to detail and commitment to ensuring ERP configurations are accurate and reliable.
