Senior Tax Analyst
What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Senior Tax Analyst within our accounting division. This position falls under our Tax line of business and is located in Brentwood, TN. In this role, you are responsible for compilation and analysis of financial information necessary for operating tax compliance, including sales and use tax, property tax and fuel tax. You will report directly to the Senior Tax Director.

The responsibilities of the role will include:
Preparing timely and accurate sales and use tax returns for more complex states.Preparing timely and accurate property tax returns for multiple locations.Preparing timely and accurate fuel tax returns and refunds for multiple customers and Comdata.Preparing the annual business license applications.Preparing the tax accrual accounts for the monthly reconciliation.Reviewing and responding to tax notices.Monitoring sales and using tax treatment of invoices to ensure company compliance by jurisdiction.Assisting with sales and use tax audit responses.Researching complex tax issues concerning sales and use taxes as they arise.Maintaining sales and use tax guidelines for tax policy manual.Reviewing state and local annual reports and notice response.Reviewing and analyze capital expenditures and consumable invoices to ensure proper sales/use tax treatment and to ensure proper accruals are maintained.Performing tax accounting tasks of a complex nature requiring advanced professional experience, knowledge and competency in tax research and compliance.Administering and monitoring company and vendor tax exemption (resale) certificates.Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field2-4 or more years of related experience or in lieu of degreeminimum of 8 years of related tax experience is required.A demonstrated ability to process and file multi-state sales and use tax, property tax and fuel tax returns is required.Possess an intermediate/advanced level of expertise in Word and Excel (formulas, pivot tables, grouping, filtering, and linking).Experience with Vertex, Avalara, OneSource tax software, Lawson, Microsoft D365 and tax research material and applications (CCH) preferred.Strong level of personal organization with excellent oral/written communication skills required.Must be detail oriented, with a commitment to above-average accuracy.Must possess the ability to manage multiple assignments promptly, effectively, and decisively.Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced team environment, analyze data, and make decisions with limited supervision.Superior telephone, email etiquette and customer service skills are required with the ability to react quickly and decisively to resolve customer issues.Must keep up to date on tax legislative changes and incorporate into assigned work.Benefits & Perks
