Position Purpose:
The Licensed Registered Nurse provides and coordinates patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.Essential Functions:Responsible for caring for patients before and after surgery. Familiar with anesthesiology and be committed to the care of others.Responsible for assessing the pre and post op patient needs by checking vital signs, pain level, the site of incision, temperature and respiration.Duties include: changing of dressing, turning patients, breathing exercises, and pain management In PACU and Stage 2. Admission and evaluation of pre-surgical patients including education of patient and family members.Be able to make judgement and assessment both in pre-op and post-op setting of patient status responsible for rousing patient from anesthesia and preparing patient for inpatient transfer of discharged to home.Must have a degree from an accredited school of nursing and be licensed as a registered nurse.Collaborates with team members by sharing relevant information; demonstrating initiative, and supporting team decisions and work life of the department.Must be a quick thinker able to stay clam in emergencies and be professional as she/he may oversee other nurses.General Job Requirements:
