SUMMARY
The GL Accountant is responsible for general ledger accounting duties including preparing and recording journal entries, account reconciliations, intercompany transaction analysis and reconciliation, expense analysis, and other basic and advanced accounting duties related to the month-end close process. A key member of the Corporate Accounting team, this position is critically important to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our regulatory and financial reporting.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESProvides accounting and reporting for multiple business units.Assists with financial close process and supports the accurate and timely preparation of all resulting financial statements and reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Supports the implementation and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and practices required for complete, accurate, and timely financial and regulatory reporting.Performs all responsibilities in an accurate, timely, consistent, conscientious, and ethical manner.OTHER SPECIFIC DUTIES
Prepares daily and monthly journal entries.Prepares expense account analysis and balance sheet account reconciliations.Determines and maintains appropriate prepaid and accrual balances.Accounts for Fixed Assets and Intangibles; records additions, amortization, depreciation, retirements, and other dispositions and reserves.Accounts for Debt and related Interest; records additions, payments, amortization, and accruals.Researches transactions and ensures completeness, and accuracy of accounting applied.Supports financial and regulatory audits and reviews.Performs ad hoc analysis, special projects and other duties as assigned.WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Answers inquiries from various business units and provides support as requested.Collaborates with others, supporting their efforts and their personal and professional development.May perform other duties as required and assigned.

KNOWLEDGE
General Ledger (GL) and Journal Entry procedures.Microsoft Office Suite; specifically, Excel including development and use of advanced formulas.Adobe Acrobat.SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Undergraduate degree in accounting.2+ years of relevant experience.Equivalent education, experience, and KSA's will be considered.
