Job description

The senior logistics manager is responsible for the oversight and execution of logistics, inventory, and transportation operations within the Stone business unit in order to support the residential and commercial installation teams in execution of projects. This role oversees a team of logistics and inventory managers to carry out the timely movement of stone product from our manufacturing facilities, and outside warehouses to the customer job site.

Responsibilities:Own operational oversight of all Stone logistics operations including drivers, external shipping vendors, and inventory trackingOwn business unit wide fleet, equipment, footprint, facility, and logistics strategy development and implementationLeads a team of logistics and inventory managers, driving accountability for OTIF numbers, safety, compliance, and other relevant KPIsInnovates and leads change in processes and practices to improve our efficiency and quality, as well as inventory tracking and managementResponsible for setting logistics directives in support of overall business unit goals and strategyUphold a strong customer focus with the teams and demonstrate cross-functional leadership with plant warehouses, installation leaders, and their teamsDemonstrate our core values and success behaviors in their approach to work and leadershipDrive company projects and change initiatives through the logistics networkQualifications

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree preferred in business, supply chain management or similar, or equivalent experience5+years of experience in logistics leadershipExperience managing teams 3-4 layers deepAbility to travel as required (up to 40-50% initially)Solid financial acumen and data analysis experienceExperience in the new construction/remodel, manufacturing industry preferredExperience with hub and spoke models a plusCompetencies:Strong Communication skillsAbility to motivate a team to reach KPI and financial goalsTeam LeadershipSolid computer skills including MS Office and the ability to learn new onesAbility to pick up new computer systems andsoftware programsquicklyData analysis and reportingAbility to lead change and create solid cultureAdditional information
