Department Overview
The Business Technology & Analytics Team (BT&A) supports the Firm through driving collaboration and advancement in business-centric technology, enabling the Firm to leverage data and technology assets for insights and day-to-day decision-making.
Position Responsibilities
Golub Capital is looking for a motivated individual to lead and manage all data governance and data stewardship activities performed by BT&A for the Firm.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Support the operations of the Data Governance Committee (DGC) and its Executive Oversight Committee together with counterparts from Technology Solutions (TS) and Investor Partners Group (IPG)Own and manage The Glossary, the Firm's proprietary data dictionary, driving collaboration across the Firm on business definitions and ensuring guiding principles such as single source of the truth and data ownership are maintainedLead all data stewardship efforts within the BT&A Team including data management within the CRM and the firm's proprietary market data platformDrive other CRM data stewardship teams across the firm to implement best practices and metrics in line with BT&A's frameworkCollaborate with other departments across the firm to tackle data quality issues and other data governance projects aimed at improving data capture and qualityImplement, monitor and enforce DGC-sponsored initiatives such as data protection and privacy procedures, data lineage and report labeling standards within BT&A and other Hive stewardship teamsCo-lead the Hive Platform Governance Team and drive complex projects to reduce "technical debt" within the CRM and gain operational efficiencies and improve data qualityProvide subject matter expertise to other BT&A teams including but not limited to Reporting & Analytics, CRM Engagement, and Investor Client Reporting in support of their projectsOther tasks as assignedCandidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education required, preferably in finance, business, information technology, computer science, data analytics, or a related field8+ years of relevant work experience with database systems, financial data management, with experience in the direct lending / private debt industry preferredStrong knowledge of relational databases, specifically Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, data warehouses and SSAS CubesEstablished track record of leading cross-functional Data Governance projects to identify and define critical data points, and implement systems and stewardship procedures to capture and maintain them at a high level of qualityStrong verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to an audience of senior leadersHands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Black Mountain / Allvue, Wall Street Office and Power BI preferredExcellent analytical, problem solving and logical reasoning skillsAbility to articulate complex concepts in a straightforward manner to Business and Technology Team stakeholdersUtmost attention to detailMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage time and priorities under pressure and meet deadlinesAbide by our work-in-office policies then in effectCritical Competencies for Success
