Summary of Position :

The Staff Accountant records non-op revenue from the sale of oil and gas production by the Company and works with Division Orders on responding to owner relation questions.

Primary Job Responsibilities :

Obtain non-op purchaser detail for funds wired directly into bank accounts.Enter non-op revenue detail in Bolo accounting system.Enter routine and non-routine journal entries in Bolo accounting system.Void and re-issue revenue checks.Help process reverse and rebooks during month-end close.Prepare and file quarterly Colorado conservation tax.Coordinate with Division Orders and respond to owner relations questions through Sales Force.Prepare the month end non-op revenue accruals to support the month end financial reporting process.Update and maintain monthly reconciliations.Process revenue owner adjustments as needed / requested.Assist department in maintaining compliance within Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), US and other relevant GAAP, and company policies.Prepare revenue source documentation for audit requests and other special projects as assigned.Assure all work performed adheres to CIVI standards.Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business, or Finance, or an equivalent of an additional 2 years of experience required.Proficient in Microsoft 360 products (Outlook, Excel, Word) required with advanced skills in Excel in particular.Certified Public Accountant license a plus.BOLO, Excalibur, or other P2 system experience a plus.Travel Requirements :

Work is performed at a CIVI location Tues-Thurs with an option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.Schedule: traditional 40-hour workweek or alternative schedule of 9 hour works days M-Thurs and 4-hour workdays Friday.Travel required to the Civitas field locations.Benefits:

Base Pay Range

:

$62,000 - $72,000
