Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Enterprise Messaging Manager, the Messaging Engineer is responsible for the development and delivery of messaging systems. The Messaging Engineer will design, maintain and administer messaging related systems to ensure a secure, stable environment for the firm.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Designs, manages and administers email security measures such as
Email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)Spam, Virus and content filteringURL rewriting and Attachment scanning
Designs, manages and administers all email analysis utilities, tools and processesDesigns, manages and administers all messaging systems (email, archival, spam, security, instant messaging)Designs, manages and administers Internet mail gatewaysDesigns, manages and administers remote mail access systemsCreates implementation plansTroubleshoots system issues and performs problem analysis to resolutionDocuments procedures and standardsAdministers and supports Microsoft Active directory as it pertains to Microsoft ExchangeDevelops and implements access, monitoring, control and documentationParticipates in preparing and testing the disaster recovery planProvides 24x7 response and assistance for all urgent and related responsibilitiesProvides subject matter expertise support to Help Desk and end usersCreates, tests and manages scripts as needed for management and administrationSupports other messaging administrators and engineers and acts as resource to other team membersParticipates in the on-call rotation processPerforms other duties as assigned/requiredSkills & Competencies:
Extensive knowledge of email security and authentication measures (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)Significant experience implementing email delivery and security platforms including message/spam filtering, transport threats and vulnerabilities, intrusion detection, antivirus and antimalwareDeep knowledge of Exchange 2016 management and troubleshootingDeep knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online Protection and Exchange OnlineDemonstrated knowledge of Enterprise Vault email archiving managementDemonstrated knowledge of windows servers and desktop messaging softwareExcellent communication skillsCommitment to standards and documentationThe ability to handle multiple priorities successfullyExcellent interpersonal skills and a passion for working collaborativelyQualifications & Prior Experience:
5 years' experience engineering in a large messaging system environmentBachelor's degree in Information Systems/Technology or equivalent experienceMicrosoft Exchange related certifications preferredPrevious law firm experience highly desired, though not requiredExperienced in systems currently used by firm is preferred: Microsoft 2016, Symantec Enterprise Vault v11, Microsoft Lync 2010, Proofpoint, AirWatch, Blackberry Enterprise Server, Kemp, Citrix Netscaler
