Are you passionate about fostering collaboration and driving impactful development projects? The City of St. Cloud is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Development Coordinator. In this role, you will review proposals and serve as the primary liaison between the City and applicants, agents, and property owners throughout the project process.
As a key representative of our City, you will leverage innovation to streamline project reviews and ensure efficient communication, while demonstrating ownership of each project's success from start to finish. The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary.Assists in the creation of location maps and GIS maintenance.Receives, reviews, and administers applications for land development permits.Assists applicants and citizens with information on code requirements for development and informs applicants of fee requirements.Delivers comments, conditions, and notifications regarding permits to applicants or their agents.Sets up pre-construction conferences.Tracks development projects to ensure compliance with applicable codes; informs the appropriate inspector in cases of violation.Performs related work as assigned.Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Requires an associate's degree in public administration, supplemented by four (4) years of progressively responsible experience and one (1) year of experience in permitting; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving history.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Reasoning:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
