Principal DevOps Engineer at Oracle in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Description About the Opportunity: CrowdTwist is seeking a talented Principal DevOps Engineer for our growing team based in NYC, USA. In this role, you will have ownership and responsibility for the CrowdTwist SaaS infrastructure. Your work will directly influence the loyalty program offerings for many of our global, enterprise clients. This role is for a DevOps engineer who loves to roll up their sleeves, dive in, and tackle any problem with speed and precision. Being a team player, taking initiative, being organized and solutions-focused is a must. You will be utilizing your experience with systems administration, agile development practices, performance monitoring, microservices and CI/CD to build high-performance, scalable, automated and fault tolerant web and data processing applications. Automation, quality and high availability is of extreme importance to us, so we're looking for a professional DevOps engineer that takes a pragmatic and passionate approach to technology to solve problems. Responsibilities Responsibilities Include: + Lead and influence the architectural design of features by determining quality, adhering to specifications to design, develop and manage all aspects of the global CrowdTwist SaaS infrastructure + Design and develop the next generation of CrowdTwist's SaaS infrastructure and tooling + Develop and maintain our CI/CD pipeline and various production and testing environments + Automating all the things + Monitor the delivery of solutions between architecture, time, cost, and quality + Help develop tools to build, maintain and monitor systems + Ensure 247365 operation + Mentor junior DevOps Engineers + Configuration management solutions to meet the needs of application deployment and management + Ability to review deployment and operational environments, i.e., execute initiatives to reduce failure, troubleshoot issues across the entire infrastructure stack and expand monitoring capabilities + Configure and tune system and network parameters for optimum performance. Monitor system stability and performance. About You: + BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience + 4+ years hand-on DevOps experience on SaaS applications + Experience with OCI, or other cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP). + Experience with configuration management tooling (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform etc.) and dev environment tools (GitHub, GitLab, Docker). + Experience with CI/CD pipelines (parallelized build pipelines, automated testing) + Experience designing, deploying and supporting highly scalable, highly available cloud-based applications + Experience with support and on-call responsibilities. + Experience managing databases in production like Oracle, MySQL etc. + Experience with network security, firewalls/ACLs, VPN services, and directory services + Love automating everything and building out informative monitoring dashboards + 6+years as a Unix/Linux administrator + Strong operational experience in Linux/Unix environment and scripting languages: Shell, Perl, Python + Expert skill in any of the following tools and systems: Docker, Jenkins, Chef, Ansible, Salt, Git + Excellent trouble shooting ability Bonus Points: + Experience administering multiple data centers in multiple countries + Experience with microservices + Oracle Cloud Infrastructure knowledge If this sounds like you, get in touch. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
