Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to direct and coordinate activities of the production department. The Production Coordinator oversees daily production activities, coordinates schedules, and monitors workflow to optimize productivity and meet production targets. Additionally, they are responsible for implementing and maintaining safety protocols, quality standards, and process improvements within the production department.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures quality of product to meet specificationsPlans production operations, establishing prioritiesReviews production reports and resolves operational problemsConducts coach/counseling sessions to resolve personnel issuesEnsures training/rotations are established, and all safety policies and procedures are followedReview production orders and/or schedules production dataEnters daily productionEnter time sheets of subordinates and PTOPerform associate evaluations in a timely mannerOther duties as assignedAbility to perform essential and subordinate duties and responsibilities, track scrap cost, and present preventive ideas to managementRequirements
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)Minimum of 4 years related work experienceBasic level proficiency with PowerPoint, Windows, MS Word and MS AccessIntermediate level proficiency with Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
2-year college degree in Business Administration, Management or Organizational Leadership5P Training (5 Principles of Problem Solving: Define, Identify, Implement, Verify, Feedback/Feed-Forward)Previous supervisory experienceEssential to Job Functions -- Physical and/or Mental Restrictions:
Ability to work for long periods of time while standingStanding, walking, and bending for the duration of the workdayAbility to lift and/or move up to 25 poundsVisual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screenFull motor skillsSupervisory:
