General Ledger Accountant

What will be your daily pursuit?
The General Ledger Accountant will serve as a member of an extremely collaborative accounting team reporting to the Senior General Ledger Accountant. This is a highly engaged and motivated team, adept at anticipating and adjusting to shifting priorities in a complex environment, working in partnership towards the overall success of the team and organization.
This position will play an important role in the overall Pursuit Finance and Accounting organization by helping prepare timely and accurate financial reports and ensuring appropriate accounting control procedures. As a GL Accountant, you will be responsible for, but not limited to preparing journal entries, completing account reconciliations, supporting the monthly close process, and ensuring the overall integrity and accuracy of the financial outputs of the organization.

$60k-$80k USD
What will you do in this job?
Take a support role in month-end and quarter-end close processes through completion of recurring tasks and journal entries.Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations of high complexity and variance analysis to ensure financial statement accuracy.Accountable for monthly sales and use tax calculations and filingsAssist with providing documentation and support for both internal and external audits, as requested by the Senior GL Accountant and other management.Complete accounting assignments in an environment of intellectual curiosity, problem solving, accuracy and efficiency. Promote the Pursuit culture by maintaining a high degree of employee engagement.Develop positive and collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders.Other project work as requested by Management#LI-AH1
What skills and experience do you need for this job?
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; work towards a higher degree or CPA certification is an added plus.1-3 years' experience in accounting preferred, including experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations. Point of sale reconciliation experience is an added plus.Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Inquisitive approach to learning, growing, and developing new skills; an innate drive to ask "why".Experience with Microsoft Office and strong Microsoft Excel skills.Dynamics 365 experience preferred but not required.Experience building relationships and working in teams.Excellent communication skills. Must be able to remotely communicate with various team members located across North America.Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
