The Business Data Strategist is responsible for identifying, creating, and executing business processes and strategies that serve to improve organizational efficiency, accomplish business objectives, and maximize revenue. This role will proactively assist with complex projects and initiatives including asset measurement and valuation, data collection and analysis, feasibility and technology evaluations, and other general strategy efforts.

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform these essential functions: Support the inventory management and rate card analysis for partnership resources housed in CRM. Monitor and encourage adoption and adjust the technology to best meet ever-changing objectives. Partner with key stakeholders in Partnerships and Marketing to optimize use of the KORE Activate product and execute a roadmap that measures current partners' KPIs. Audit partnership contract submissions and assist with league reporting. Assist with the ingestion of new partnerships and fan experience data sources. Collaborate with the Sr. Business Strategist to optimize visualization and reporting tools through custom data queries. Improve and refine current Partnership processes through documentation, data accuracy, and a data-driven approach to day-to-day business. Mentor stakeholders on subject matter knowledge and processes to ensure they are repeatable, sustainable, and scalable. Research, collect, and analyze data from third-party distribution channels using web-scraping tools. Design and continuously adjust data entry processes used by internal stakeholders. Manage on-going project timelines, objectives, and vendor relationships with the Director of Business Strategy. Identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency through process enhancement. Support the implementation and analysis of market research initiatives. Proficiencies, Skills or Equivalent Experiences:

Strong written and verbal communication skills required Ability to self-learn software/technology and implement processes and training for end-users Highly analytical person with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Advanced critical thinking and project management skills Refined interpersonal and consultative skills Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience required.

Experience:

1-2 years of experience in business strategy, research, or consultation or experience in a relevant discipline.

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Requirements:

Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams) Experience with SQL programming, data mining and knowledge of relational databases Familiarity building dashboards using data visualization tools is a plus (Tableau is preferred) Working knowledge of CRM databases, marketing automation platforms, and inventory management systems. Knowledge with KORE Software Sponsorship Products is a plus

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. Office hours are typically Monday-Friday from 8:30AM-5:30PM. In addition to working office hours staff may be required to work Timberwolves and Lynx home games, member events and meetings, and networking events. Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Work is generally performed within an office environment with standard office equipment available. This job also operates in a sports arena which includes bleachers/steps as well as moderate to high levels of noise.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others both in person and over the telephone. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, printer and telephone. Staff will frequently ascend and descend bleachers/steps and traverse around the arena both on event days and non-event days. Staff may occasionally move objects weighing up to 15 pounds.

Travel

Position may require travel to external events.
