Responsibilities
Milestone offers services and supports designed to improve overall health outcomes by targeting key areas that impacts well-being beyond traditional supportive behavioral health services. Through a holistic model, Milestone offers a continuum of care designed to empower individuals to achieve their full potential through providing the following supportive services:
Supportive person-centered activities that promote safe and sustainable independent living Opportunities to strengthen community engagement and social support for those served Educational activities and health literacy promotion Ensure access to healthy food and nutrition Improve economic stability through exploration of employment related activities The Director of the social rehabilitation program plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the program to ensure its effective and efficient operation. Leadership and guidance are instrumental in fostering a supportive environment where people can rebuild their lives and attain independence.
By overseeing a team of behavioral health therapy professionals, you ensure that personalized rehabilitation plans are tailored to meet the unique needs of everyone, addressing emotional and psychological well-being and physical health needs. Through facility based and community-based activities designed to help people develop essential life skills, build confidence, and cultivate meaningful relationships. By effectively fulfilling the responsibilities outlined in detail below, the Director of the social rehabilitation program plays a vital role in supporting the program's mission, enhancing the quality of services provided, and ultimately, improving the lives of the individuals and communities served by the program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Program Management: responsible for managing the overall operations of the social rehabilitation program, developing and implementing policies, procedures, and workflows; maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all people; and maintaining fiscal responsibility through close budget monitoring. Maintains a safe environment, which includes but is not limited to, the completion of regular inspections of the physical site and vehicle, reports maintenance needs and monitors completion of safety issues/concerns. Staff Management: oversees and manages the team of behavioral health therapists who are directly involved in providing rehabilitation services through the following activities:
Conducting monthly supervision with each Behavioral Health Therapist Facilitating reoccurring staff meetings Conducting performance evaluations and providing frequent performance feedback Facilitating and/or providing professional development opportunities Addressing any staff-related issues or concerns. Working collaboratively with Human Resources Talent Acquisition team to address timely vacancy management Collaborates with the Human Resources Talent Development Specialist to facilitate employee orientations as appropriate Coordinate and/or facilitate all related new hire on the job training
Person Oversight: responsible for monitoring the progress and well-being of each person receiving services by:
Ensuring each person is receiving the necessary support and services to achieve their established objective.
Assessing people's needs, interests, and abilities to develop personalized activity plans Regularly review and update treatment goals and plans in response to person progress, changing needs, or new circumstances Implement individualized crisis plan, if applicable, as per regulations and guidelines Oversee the facilitation of dynamic and engaging activities or discussions that promote personal growth, self-awareness, and skill development, honoring the diverse perspectives and experiences within the group which meets individualized objectives Provide people supported activity opportunities to foster skills and identifies integrative community activities and coordinates resources for participation Implement applicable behavioral support plans and utilize positive strategies to support the person receiving services Serves as an agency point person by collaborating with all team members and investigation entities when an incident occurs per contractual and regulatory requirements. Collaboration and Coordination: serves as a liaison between the social rehabilitation program and other community organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders. This involves coordinating referrals, sharing information, and collaborating on initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of the program Data Management and Reporting: responsible for overseeing the timely collection, analysis, and reporting of program data. Monitoring of service utilization and program effectiveness may also occur through periodic auditing of the program's performance to identify areas for improvement Continuous Improvement: fosters a culture of continuous improvement within the social rehabilitation program. This includes regularly reviewing and updating program policies, procedures, and practices to ensure they align with best practices and meet the evolving needs of the person's experience served by the program Completes all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in behavioral health, therapeutic recreation, recreational therapy, or a related field Five years of related experience in the field Supervisory experience preferred Experience with development and facilitation of therapeutic curriculum for group therapy for individuals with diverse abilities, including those navigating physical or intellectual differences, those on a behavioral health journey, or members of the deaf community. Act 33 and Act 34 clearance and FBI background check, if applicable Valid PA Driver's License
