SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for all matters pertaining to Tyson's accommodations policies, procedures, and programs. This includes guiding managers through the interactive process, developing and updating standards surrounding accommodations, staying relevant with changing laws surrounding accommodations, and developing and providing training for all managers and HR staff on the accommodations process, changing laws, and application of Tyson's accommodations policies.
These responsibilities include reviewing accommodation requests, managing the interactive process, developing and implementing accommodation solutions, developing reports and developing and delivering presentations, along with data analysis to assure the laws and policies are being administered. The SR. EEO Specialist Accommodations will assess the risk level of accommodation requests and proposed accommodations and make recommendations to the HR Partner Strategic HR Partners, law team, and business leader regarding alternative accommodations or further due diligence, as appropriate, for risk mitigation.
Duties may also include investigating internal Accommodation complaints and maintaining and analyzing Accommodation data related to internal and external complaints across the enterprise to identify trends and develop action plan(s) for risk mitigation. The Sr. EEO Specialist Accommodations provides counsel and advice to Strategic HR Partners on ADA accommodations, Religious accommodations, and other Accommodation-related matters. Additional duties include providing training support in Accommodation policies and law, conducting Accommodation training for HR Managers.
REQUIREMENTS :Education : Requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
3 plus years of Human Resources, EEO or Accommodations Investigations, or legal experience is required; a strong understanding of employment law is preferred.
Computer Skills:
Above Standard computer skills: the ability to maintain auditing and tracking systems, run complex reports through multiple data sources
Communication Skills : Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written format. Strong presentation skills are required.
Supervisory : None
Travel : 12 or more domestic trips per year.
