Position is Exempt Status

The Help Desk Technician is responsible for understanding and supporting the installation, configuration and support of office and store systems. This position will require a combination of technical and customer service skills, as well as a passion for technology and helping people. The Technician will provide responsive assistance to end users at the stores and office.

The SD-WAN Network Administrator role will work to configure, deploy and support the network infrastructure across all company locations. The Network Administrator will also recommend specific measures that can improve the company's overall network and security posture.

Responsibilities

IT Support: 60%

•Installation and continuing support for store hardware/software.

•Maintenance and routine support of desktop software.

•Learn the function and back-end operation of software systems in place.

•Serve as an advocate for end users by identifying solutions that can enhance the users' experience.

•Provide exceptional help desk support.

•Handle ticket escalations utilizing Help Desk ticketing solution.

•Work with other technician(s) to assist in resolving escalated tickets to share knowledge and increase ticket response efficacy.

•Work with technician(s) to create additional documentation needed based on tickets escalated.

•Support after hours tickets in an on-call rotation.

•Other responsibilities may be added and/or assigned as needed.

Network Infrastructure (SD-WAN): 40%

•Assist in supporting, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading internal network infrastructure.

•Review and administer changes to companies' network and security infrastructure. Including but not limited to; Active Directory, Intune, and O365.

•Monitor and troubleshoot SD-WAN network issues, ensuring minimal downtime (including cellular backup devices).

•Automating weekly reports for bandwidth utilization, performance, and uptime of all SD-WAN devices.

•Assist in the planning, design and documentation of SD-WAN architecture.

•Assist and support configuring security zones & VRFs to control traffic on the SD-WAN.

•Configure and maintain SD-WAN devices, ensuring compliance with security policies.

•Analyze network performance and make recommendations for improvement.

•Provide support and training to team members and end users regarding SD-WAN technologies.

•Assist in creating and deploying templates that can be used to push to all sites.

Core Competencies

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

•3+ years of experience in network administration, with a focus on SD-WAN technologies.

•Strong knowledge of SD-WAN routing & networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF).

•Familiar with SD-WAN solution architecture.

•Solid knowledge of general LAN and WAN technologies. Including routers, ACLs, and best practice around management, control, and monitoring of network infrastructure.

•Understanding and having knowledge of Fortinet routers, switches is a plus.

•Strong knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (OS).

•Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory/Entra.

•Strong knowledge of general networking infrastructure.

•Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
