Scientist - Cell Harvesting and Bioreactor Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in harvesting cells and other biomaterials from tissues and fluids, experience with bioreactor systems for cell culture and expansion, growth media creation and design, and the ability to document processes meticulously. This role requires a problem solver, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Harvest cells from various tissues using enzymatic and mechanical dissociation explant methods. Maintain and culture primary cells, ensuring high viability and functionality. Operate and optimize bioreactor systems for cell culture and expansion. Write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for laboratory processes. Keep detailed, accurate, and organized lab notebooks, reporting on day to day work. Perform flow cytometry, cell sorting, and microscopy to identify and analyze specific cell populations, growth factor profiles, and tissue structures. Use molecular biology techniques such as PCR, Western Blot, and immunohistochemistry for cell characterization. Ensure aseptic handling of cells and tissues to prevent contamination. Cryopreserve harvested cells and maintain cell banks for future experiments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in research, development, and manufacturing. Take initiative to lead projects independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Designing their own cell culture media Be willing to learn new techniques, concepts, and methods in a fast-paced environment working in research and manufacturing, Qualifications: Degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Tissue Engineering, or related field. Extensive experience with primary cell culture, tissue dissociation, and cell harvesting. Proficiency in troubleshooting Bioreactors, cell media, and cell harvesting Strong experience in writing SOPs and maintaining detailed laboratory notes. Ability to work independently and demonstrate leadership in managing lab processes. Experience with flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and molecular biology techniques, tissue and cell slides preparation including microtome work. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Will Prioritize Applicants with Experience In These Topics: Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for bioreactor operation. Experience with methods to remove surface markers from cells.
