There is a strong sense of community among participants and employees. The Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is an alternative to nursing facilities. Seniors receive customized healthcare and social support at a nearby PACE center supported by a team of medical experts dedicated to providing personalized healthcare and support to help them age at home. Opportunity : Locums Internal or Family Medicine Physician Needed for PACE Program CoverageStart Date/Duration: ASAP; OngoingSchedule: Monday - Friday with 4 days of participant visits and 1 administrative dayPhysician is responsible for the medical care of program's enrolled geriatric participants across a variety of settings, including but not limited to the Day Center clinic, participants homes, the nursing home, assisted living facilities and personal care boarding homes. Most participant visits occur at the clinic, though some physicians may specialize in nursing home care. Close coordination of care with hospital-based providers is essential. Physical attendance at facility is essential to performing the job dutiesBilingual Spanish a plus (NOT required)

Requirements :• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree• Current active state Medical License and DEA license with full prescriptive authority• Board Certification in primary care specialty, or Board Eligible with certification required within first 12 months of employment• A minimum of one year working with the frail or elderly• Not on the CMS Preclusion List

Compensation : Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
