The Senior Audio/Visual Aids Technician will be responsible for leading the design, fabrication, installation, maintenance and operation of audio-visual equipment and its infrastructure for classroom and meeting spaces. This position will share in the responsibility for service parts inventory and service documentation. Responsible for training student employees and act as functional supervisor during field installations and setups for more junior level AV Techs and students.

What We're Looking For:

Education and Experience Needed:High School Degree or High School Equivalency (HSE)Four (4) years of audio visual, IT, or related experienceExperience with troubleshooting and repair of a wide range of audio-visual related equipmentPreferred:

Associates degree in related field. Electronics technical school, two-years of EET, military electronics school certificates a plusExperience with computer presentation setup, software, data projection systems and basic data network very desirableSkills Needed:

Demonstrated knowledge of AV equipmentDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of AV equipmentMust demonstrate excellent service attitude and be able to interact with faculty, staff, and students in an appropriate mannerKnowledge of Windows/Mac operating systems and Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of computer networksAbility to:

work under constant time constraintsread or learn to read schematics and interpret technical manualswork independently or in a team setting
