**Shift:** 12-hour Nights, every other weekend, floating as needed
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years
**License:** Must be licensed to submit
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS preferred
**Must-Have:** Recent experience with fresh open-heart surgeries and mixed ICU patients
**Job Description:**- Perform duties in a 30-bed Cardiac ICU with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1-2, 90% of the time.- Provide high-level care to cardiac patients, including those with recent open-heart surgeries.- Responsible for monitoring telemetry using GE monitors.- Collaborate with 24/7 in-house hospitalists and respiratory therapists.- Work alongside a charge nurse who does not take patient assignments.- Wear navy scrubs as the designated color for this role.- Handle patients requiring ventilation.- Utilize the Cerner charting system for patient documentation.- Self-schedule around a 12-hour shift from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with schedules finalized after managerial review approximately 6 weeks in advance.- Complete 12 hours of orientation, including a unit-specific orientation day.- Undergo a proctored Dysrhythmia Test on the first day (pass/fail basis) as required for all Telemetry, Labor & Delivery, Emergency, and Critical Care RNs.- May need to float to any telemetry or med-surg units as needed.
This position requires every other weekend work but does not require holiday shifts currently. Candidates should have strong critical care and telemetry skills.
