Travel RN - Cardiac ICU - Neuro
Shift:
Nights / 6:30p-7a, 12x3, 36 hrs per week, will accept 48 upon request, EOH
Length:
13 weeks
Weekend/Holiday : 3 weekends out of every 6 week schedule
Requirements:
IN/compact licenseMinimum 3 years of RN experience1 full year of ICU/Medical ICU/Neuro ICU experience1 travel assignmentTrauma level II experienceSkillset: dysphagia screen/strong neuro assessment skills. Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (travelers are required to pass a tele test), ETT/vent management (RT available), Initiate/titrate (sedatives, paralytics, cardiac drips, vasoactive, insulin, etc.), sepsis protocols/care, post ROSC therapeutic hypothermia protocolAHA BLSAHA ACLSNIHSSPreferred: CRRT, tPa administration/assessments, massive transfusion (Belmont)Recent Epic charting experienceOther details:
Float Requirement: First to float within skillsetPatient Population: General medical ICU patients - general cardiac/neuro, respiratory failure, vascular post -surgical, renal failure, sepsisUnit Information: 28 beds. Ratio: Days 1:2-3; NOCs 1:2-3; CN rarely takes patients.No local candidates (40 mile radius rule)Scrub Colors: Navy blue scrubsCovid-19 Vaccine Not Required - Subject to changeEpic Travel Staffing:

CVICU
Cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) travel nurse jobs provide care to acutely ill patients who are recovery from cardiothoracic (CTICU) conditions or events, such as open heart surgery, AAA repairs and CABC. A CVICU travel nurse must be capable of administering care on a full spectrum, from clinical tasks such as medical history analysis and diagnostic testing, to personal care such as counseling patients and family regarding home-care and wellness. Overall, the CVICU nurse treats some of the most acutely ill patients in the hospital, and must do so safely and compassionately.
