The Regional Director of Sales will be responsible for executing sales strategies to maximize hotel profitability while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This role will focus on meeting or exceeding planned revenue objectives for occupancy and average daily rate (ADR) across Shri Hotels' portfolio of properties. The Regional Director of Sales will collaborate directly with hotel management and revenue teams. This position will play a key role in driving revenue growth and will require a strong background in sales leadership within the hospitality industry. This position will require the individual to be based in the Raleigh-Durham area and be in the office during the full workweek. Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy and Revenue Generation

• Develop and implement strategies to generate new business and increase hotel revenue. • Identify, qualify, and solicit new business to achieve hotel revenue goals. • Approve business opportunities and ensure the most profitable deals are closed based on market conditions and hotel needs. • Upsell business opportunities to maximize revenue. • Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, competitors, and industry developments to inform sales strategies.

Collaboration and Strategic Planning

• Work closely with the Corporate Team, General Managers, and Revenue Management team to align sales strategies with pricing, group mix, and overall hotel goals. • Ensure the timely response to group sales leads and effectively manage event communication and execution. • Work as a liaison between the hotel and customers throughout the event sales process.

Guest Satisfaction and Customer Relationship Management

• Develop and manage relationships with key clients, ensuring VIP recognition and exceptional service. • Ensure that customer issues and complaints are addressed promptly and resolved in a timely manner. • Use guest feedback and surveys to analyze and identify opportunities for improved service delivery.

Sales Administration and Reporting

• Prepare and maintain sales-related documents, including contracts, proposals, group resumes, and event orders. • Manage and track department budget, process payroll, and handle accounting and purchasing functions. • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client communications. • Ensure proper management of payments and assist with any billing-related issues that arise. Qualifications: •

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel sales; experience in both transient and group sales required. •

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. •

Skills:

Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to develop and execute sales strategies and lead a team effectively. Previous sales experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, and Choice branded properties preferred. •

Technology:

Knowledge of hotel software such as MARSHA, Delphi, FOSSE, SFA, Quick Group, One Yield, Opera, OnQ, Choice Advantage, or similar systems is preferred. •

Attributes:

Solid organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. •

Work Location:

This position will be based in in the Raleigh-Durham area and be in-office during the full workweek. Compensation: $55,000 - $85,000 yearly
