Job Responsibilities:
Cultivate and maintain client relationships by setting legal objectives, explaining options, providing advice, and representing clients in court and mediation.
Draft pleadings and manage all aspects of case work, including law and motion, discovery motions, propounding discovery, depositions, mediations, and trials.
Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
Consult with and prepare experts as needed.
Perform in-depth legal research and articulate findings to support case strategies and theories, including developing new theories for consideration.
Handle intensive fact discovery, including utilizing electronic discovery platforms and addressing ESI issues.
Provide comprehensive and clear reports to partners and client representatives.
Engage in persuasive communication and negotiation with opposing counsel.
Qualifications:
Admitted to and in good standing with the California State Bar.
2 to 4 years of experience in civil litigation.
Strong analytical, research, oral, and written communication skills.
Highly motivated, with the ability to take initiative and work independently as well as collaboratively.
Exceptional attention to detail and capability to manage and adjust caseload priorities effectively.
