Role and Scope of Position:To lead and have total responsibility for the development, justification, and successful execution of strategic, critical and major transmission projects of specific strategic, competitive and/or regulatory importance.Essential Functions:Overall responsibility to complete strategic, critical and complex projects on schedule, within budget, schedule and scope.Prepare project specific plans including progression milestones and deliverables.Participate in the development and execution of Eversource’s mission, goals, and objectives.Secure project funding and support including siting, permitting, regulatory approvals and customer/community commitments.Identify emerging issues and recommend appropriate actions/projects that produce shareholder value and meet internal and external customer needs.Lead, develop, motivate, and monitor a staff capable of dealing with business and technical issues to achieve high value results that support the project strategies and goals; includes employees, contractors, and potential external key stakeholders.Develop and implement cogent project monitoring and reporting systems.Provide post-project follow-up to ensure original anticipated values are achieved.Provide post-project review to identify and recommend additional enhancements.Direct and/or participate in the development and processing of various permit requirements.Direct and/or participate in various project support communication and public relation initiatives.Develop business strategies and initiatives to leverage ancillary value of project assets.Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:Technical Knowledge/Skill:Must have a proven track record as a program and/or project manager, particularly leading cross-functional teams on complex projects with high visibility.Ability to relate projects and programs to business strategy.Must be knowledgeable in the use of project management tools and techniques, such as risk management.Must be able to coach individuals, direct project engineers and/or lead teams.Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills with the ability to create and deliver effective project reports and presentations.Must communicate well at all levels of the organization, including senior management, regulatory and community officials.Education:B.S. in Finance, Business Management, Economics, or Engineering.Post-graduate coursework preferred, such as Master’s Certificate in Project Management, MBA, AMA Executive Course, or organizational development.Experience:Minimum of 12 years of Project Level experience.Licenses & Certifications:PMP certification or PE license preferred.Working Conditions:Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.Worker Type:
