Program Operations Specialist to join their team.The Program Operations Specialist will serve as a key leader within the School of Nursing’s Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), driving impactful programs and ensuring operational excellence. This role works closely with the Associate Dean of DEIB to enhance the School’s commitment to a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and welcoming environment. The Specialist will oversee strategic program coordination, supervise a dedicated team that includes a Program Assistant and a student employee, and foster partnerships across the School and broader University community to maximize the reach and effectiveness of DEIB initiatives.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Program Development, Implementation and Evaluation (40%)Support the office in the design, coordination, and execution of high-impact DEIB programs, such as workshops, training series, speaker events, and strategic outreach initiatives.Develop program plans and timelines, secure resources, oversee logistics, and assess impact to support continuous improvement.Evaluate and optimize program processes, identify operational efficiencies, and implement solutions to elevate the quality, impact, and alignment of DEIB programs with institutional goals.Provide support in the collection, analysis, and reporting of program data, including participation metrics, feedback, and demographic trends. Use data insights to inform strategic decisions, support grant and funding proposals, and measure the impact of DEIB efforts.Team Leadership and Supervision (25%)Recruit, hire, and manage a Program Assistant and a student employee, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and professional development to build a high-performing DEIB support team.Assist in defining clear goals and expectations, monitor progress, and create an inclusive team culture aligned with DEIB values.Resource Development, Stakeholder Engagement and Communication (25%)Serve as a key liaison for DEIB initiatives across the School of Nursing and with external partners. Support the development and implementation of strategies for effective communication and engagement with diverse stakeholders, building awareness, encouraging participation, and reinforcing the School’s DEIB mission.Support the Associate Dean in creating and curating resources, guides, and communication materials that promote DEIB initiatives and support community-building efforts. Help to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness and expand DEIB resources.Financial Stewardship and Resource Allocation (10%)Manage the DEIB program budget in collaboration with the Associate Dean, ensuring efficient use of resources, tracking expenses, and generating reports to ensure compliance with University policies and strategic funding objectives.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in disciplines related to non-profit management and leadership, public policy, public administration or business administration.At least 3 years of non-profit experience, government, administrative management experience.Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrated project management experience.Ability to interact respectfully, empathetically and with cultural humility with persons of diverse backgrounds of race, ethnicity, gender identity, geographic locals and other identities.Ability to manage multiple projects, problem solve, and exercise sound judgement in a dynamic working environment.Strong writing skills and verbal communication.Ability to handle sensitive situation and information with tact, discretion and diplomacy.Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint), Zoom teleconference, Adobe Reader, database management.Comfort using technology and applications to assist in project management, event management, cloud sharing.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
In-person employment preferred with some teleworking to be negotiated.Available to work during standard office hours.This opportunity is for one-year with possibility of extension beyond the specified date.Application Process:
