Summary
The Director serves as the key finance business partner to one of Freeman’s main lines of business. The Director, FP&A will help executive leaders align their departments’ initiatives and investments to Freeman’s strategic plan. Working with a team of analysts, the Director will provide critical Finance support on budgeting, forecasting and ongoing financial analysis to these teams.
This position will support our Finance team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week. This position is based out of our North Dallas office in Dallas, TX.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide financial leadership to executives on their key initiatives and investments, including building and socializing financial models on such initiatives.
Support executive leadership in budgeting, forecasting and month-end analysis for their departments.
Perform headcount analysis, contingent modeling, utilization dash-boarding and other profitability assessments, as needed.
Manage a team of Finance Analysts in the performance of their duties.
Maintain a high level of compliance with financial controls and accounting principles.
Drive process improvements and grow FP&A capabilities, including improvements to key financial information systems and tools.
Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from a four year accredited college or university is required. MBA preferred.
Experience building and managing department budgets and forecasts is required.
Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP and knowledge of common project management methodologies is highly preferred.
Minimum 10 -12 years of progressively increasing roles and responsibilities in Finance.
Ability to effectively collaborate with and influence peers and cross-functional colleagues throughout the organization including the executive level.
Ability to work with all levels within the organization in a professional and competent manner.
Must have strong analytical and technical skills, including a working knowledge of financial planning systems such as Hyperion Planning.
Ability to produce clear and concise written and verbal communications.
Excellent customer service skills.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
MBA, CPA, CMA preferred but not required
