is currently hiring dynamic Traffic Engineers.Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of experience, a strong work ethic, a desire to learn, the willingness to work cohesively within a team, and the ability to work on multiple projects. Additionally, we offer a creative, flexible, supportive and fun environment!Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work with multi-disciplinary teams on tasks such as traffic studies, corridor planning, feasibility studies, safety audits, intersection design, traffic signal design, roadway signing and pavement marking plans, and traffic and signal operations analysis.Manage private planning projects.Assist in outside contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.Capital improvement planning including providing cost estimates, feasibility studies, and developing recommendations and innovative solutions.Obtain, analyze, and interpret demographic and other regional transportation planning data.Assist in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, impact studies, permits, and designs for projects.Review construction sites to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents.Serve as on-site project representative.Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (required).EIT, FE, or PE (not required, but preferred).PTOE (or trending) preferred.Knowledge of CADD Software (MicroStation or AutoCAD or OpenRoads).Experience with NCDOT and/or SCDOT projects.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Valid Driver’s License.Could be Fully Remote within the Carolinas.At TPD we exist to improve the quality of life for the public, and are dedicated to Moving
