SUMMARY
The Director of Talent Management is responsible for designing and leading the overall talent management strategy to attract, develop, and retain top talent in alignment with the organization’s goals and culture. This leadership role will oversee both the Talent Acquisition and Talent Development functions, ensuring a cohesive and comprehensive approach to workforce planning, employee growth, and performance management. The Director will collaborate with senior leaders to drive initiatives that strengthen organizational capability and foster a high-performance culture.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Talent Strategy
Develop and implement a holistic talent management strategy that encompasses the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment to development and retention.
Collaborate with leadership to forecast workforce needs and build strategies that align with business objectives.
Analyze trends and metrics in talent acquisition and development to inform decision-making and improve HR outcomes.
Talent Acquisition
Lead the Talent Acquisition team in developing innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talent at all levels.
Implement strategies for proactive sourcing and talent pipelining for key roles and leadership positions.
Partner with managers to ensure recruitment practices meet current and future organizational needs.
Talent Development & Performance Management
Lead the Talent Development team in creating programs that enhance employee skills, leadership capabilities, and career development.
Oversee the design and implementation of training programs and leadership development initiatives.
Design and manage the performance management process, ensuring alignment with the company’s values and goals.
Workforce Planning & Succession Management
Collaborate with department leaders and HR Business Partners to assess workforce needs and develop comprehensive plans for talent acquisition, development, and retention.
Identify critical roles and develop succession planning strategies to ensure a pipeline of qualified internal candidates for key leadership roles.
Monitor organizational structure and workforce trends to optimize productivity and scalability.
Leadership and Team Management
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the Talent Acquisition and Talent Development managers.
Ensure effective collaboration and communication between the Talent Acquisition and Talent Development teams.
Set performance objectives, conduct regular reviews, and develop the skills and capabilities of direct reports.
Data-Driven Decision-Making
Use data analytics and metrics to track the effectiveness of talent management programs, recruitment initiatives, and development efforts.
Track and report key talent metrics, such as employee turnover, retention, and development progress, to the executive leadership team.
Compliance
Ensure that all talent management activities comply with local, state, and federal employment regulations.
Maintain policies and procedures related to talent management and ensure consistent application across the organization.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
6+ years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years in a talent management or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of talent acquisition, development, performance management, and succession planning.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
Experience with HRIS and talent management systems is a plus.
Certification in HR or Talent Management (e.g., SHRM, ATD) preferred.
