OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
5+ years of progressive accounting experienceAdvanced knowledge of software such as QuickBooks, Sage 300, or ProcoreProficiency with financial modeling tools like Excel or Google SheetsPreferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related fieldCPA certification or another relevant licenseExperience in the construction industry or with project-based accountingSupervisory experienceStrong understanding of job costing, project accounting, and construction financial reporting
DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR CONTROLLER
Typical working hours are from
Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm .
You oversee our financial operations and manage the essential processes that keep our finances in good shape and our company on the right track. Precision and accuracy are crucial as you prepare financial reports, conduct thorough analyses, and maintain vital documentation. You also support our CFO in strategic planning and maintaining our integrity. As you analyze our processes, you identify ways to streamline our methods and improve efficiency while protecting against fraud.
Closely following all GAAP, you review and measure financial performance, provide actionable insights, and provide improvement recommendations to leadership. You ensure accuracy and timeliness by managing accounting functions like accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and the general ledger. Attentively, you review budgets and forecasts for construction contracts and implement job costing procedures, measuring costs against potential revenue. You oversee cash flow, manage banking relationships and credit lines, and support our liquidity. Ensuring compliance with all regulations, you support annual audits, file taxes, and oversee the integration of new software. You're motivated to keep us always improving!
