The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with clinical partners, including chief nursing officers, and for leading the college in addressing the state's healthcare needs. This role involves overseeing the Morehead Center for Nursing Practice and the Global Health Program Office, as well as ensuring the integration of global health initiatives into the nursing curriculum. The Associate Dean will also be expected to maintain a program of research, seek and facilitate practice and partnership demonstration grants, and work with faculty to encourage scholarly productivity in the clinical teaching and practice missions. Applicants for the Associate Dean position at the company should hold a doctoral degree in nursing or a related field, with a PhD in nursing preferred, and be board-certified as a nurse practitioner. A minimum of 5 years' experience in an academic/clinical leadership role is required, along with a strong background in administration, interpersonal relations, teaching, and curriculum development. The ideal candidate will be a transformational and strategic leader, a persuasive communicator, and a skilled negotiator with a passion for excellence. They should also be a confident manager, an innovator, and a mentor with strong coaching skills.
