The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight of the Center for Nursing Research, with a focus on enhancing the college's research and innovation enterprise. This role involves mentoring faculty, particularly junior members, in research career development, and leading efforts to build and manage funded research programs. The Associate Dean will also be instrumental in fostering interdisciplinary research initiatives, both within the college and with external partners, and will be expected to have a strong background in research, including a significant record of scholarly accomplishments and grant funding. Applicants for the Associate Dean position must hold a research doctorate in nursing or a closely related field, with a proven commitment to teaching and service. The role requires a candidate with a valid United States nursing license and eligibility for a Pennsylvania license, as well as a track record of national and international service. The ideal candidate will have a strong research portfolio with the potential for attracting extramural funding, and must demonstrate leadership capacity, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Responsibilities also include supervising research staff, financial planning, and overseeing the promotion and tenure process within the college.
