GridX, Inc. is seeking an experienced Product Owner who is passionate about enabling the success of Utility customer support teams. The Product Owner reports to the Director - Products and is responsible for driving the development, launch, and evolution of a highly strategic product at GridX, with a growing list of large utility customers excited to get their hands on it.
Every company in the US uses energy, and most rely on utilities as an intermediary to deliver the electricity powering their enterprise. GridX Advise is a next-generation solution for Enterprise and Residential Customer Support Representatives at utilities dedicated to helping their customers achieve their business and energy goals. It will serve users representing every segment of the market, from residential energy subscribers to the largest commercial and institutional clients. This role provides an opportunity to deliver innovative analytics, and operational solutions that unlock or accelerate energy transformation, with the potential for creating massive business and decarbonization impacts.
Responsibilities
Work with stakeholders to gather, refine, and document detailed product requirements based on an understanding of the product vision, clients needs, and the desired end-user experienceTranslate problem statements and user stories into detailed UX success metrics and requirements for engineeringOrganize requirements into clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria with appropriate technical details that guide the development teamAlign priorities to the product roadmap, experience strategy, and unmet customer needsLead sprint planning sessions, set sprint goals, and ensure the development team is aligned with the scope and priorities.Lead regular syncs with designers, developers, and data science teams to support delivery, address technical questions, prioritize work across features and bug fixes, and regularly groom the backlogFacilitate daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, proactively addressing roadblocks and resolving team queries to achieve sprint and release objectivesEnsure high quality production releases by performing QA testing, adhering to launch requirements, and seeking continuous improvements to processesEngage with clients and end-users as needed to understand pain points, requirements, collect user feedback, validate and/or help resolve technical issuesRepresent the voice of your clients and end-users throughout development process to bolster business context and empathyDrive adoption and use of your product/s by working with cross-functional teammates to create and publish support documentation, communicate releases, and promote the value of products and improvements when they go to marketBe an influential and authoritative product expert for internal stakeholders on the status of new feature development, open and resolved issues, and communicate progress and challenges to executive audiencesDevelop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze internal usage data, and help prototype new features to drive continuous improvementRequired Qualifications
5+ years experience in a Product Manager or Product Owner role with a proven track record of successfully shipping new products, and improving existing products5+ years experience working with CSR or CRM products/solutions5+ years experience building SaaS products in an agile development environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to create visual diagrams and/or low fidelity mockupsExperience with agile tools (like Jira, Confluence or similar) and methodologiesAptitude for technical problem solving and ability to understand technical challengesWillingness to work with an international team across time zones if/when neededProficiency in Microsoft and Google Application suitesPreferred Qualifications
Additional experience working as a CS rep, Account or Portfolio managerExperience building software products in the energy spaceExperience working with utilitiesExpertise building data and/or analytics productsExperience working at a start-up companyAbility to use SQL and/or other means to perform data-driven analysisProven ability to be effective working in a dynamic, fast paced environmentAbility to handle ambiguity and be a self-directed problem solverAn eye for detail and a demonstrated obsession with building great user experienceYour Location
Because much of the team is based in Denver, CO, it is preferred that the selected candidate be located in the Denver area. The role will include occasional work at a GridX Industrious shared office or attendance at offsites and/or customer sites, as determined by your role's responsibilities and agreed to with your manager.

Compensation
Compensation is based on your specific location, and, for this position, may range from $100,000 to $125,000/year base salary + benefits/perks. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on skill set, qualifications, experience and location.
