The Supervisor will be a first point of contact for staff who are in need of leadership direction. Act as a liaison for administration during night shift hours.Key Responsibilities include:Serve as a supervisor and, in conjunction with the CNO, oversee facility operations.Sets appropriate and therapeutic redirection and limits of resident's behavior, timeouts, seclusion/restraints with minimal assistance from the Registered Nurse. Monitors that residents on assignment time are completing assignments. Assists with planning outings with C.T. and R.N.Assists in or provides transportation of residents to activities and assists with scheduled diagnostic tests as requested.Ensures that residents receive assistance if unable to care for themselves and implements the multidisciplinary treatment plan as evidenced by documentation in the progress note.Assumes leadership role during crisis interventions.Follows procedures for care of valuables/sharps/hazards/and personal property of residents. Checks Sharps Q week to ensure any misplaced items are removed. Ensures personal searches are done immediately upon admission and following resident passes.Provide orientation and training to staff and give feedback to CNO related to new and current staff for evaluation purposes.Monitor the day-to-day provision of residential care, assisting on the unit only as necessary and communication problems/issues with CNO as they occur.Qualifications
