Indiana Council On Educating Students of Color is partnering with Fair Future to conduct the initial recruitment and interviews for this role:About ICESC:Founded in 2016, Indiana Council on Educating Students of Color (ICESC) is an Indianapolis based grassroots organization with deep roots in the Indianapolis and Marion County community. ICESC’s mission is to collaborate with stakeholders to creatively design educational opportunities that lead to enhanced academic success for students of color. To achieve our mission, ICESC’s current programming includes: Afterschool Programming - ICESC services are currently being offered in 3 Indianapolis charter schools. ICESC’s after school programs are designed to build student’s development, knowledge, and cultural awareness of African and American history and culture with a focus on identity and character building. 2) Community Leadership Development - ICESC is in the midst of a multi-year community leadership campaign which includes a multi-pronged community engagement strategy aimed at building the conversation around literacy and education community wide.Position Overview:ICESC is looking for an Associate Director of Program Operations who will provide critical technical support across the organization’s key programs with primary activities centered around the management of our after-school programs. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with a passion for working with youth and a strong understanding of educational program management. This role requires someone who is local to Indianapolis, dedicated, and able to work on-site to ensure smooth operations of our programs and technology. The standard work day for this position is 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday with the opportunity for flexibility.Key Responsibilities:Program Management (50%):

Lead the strategic direction, under the direction of the Executive Director, of the program, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of ICESC’s after-school programs, ensuring they run smoothly and meet program goals.Ensure programs are engaging, culturally relevant, and support the educational and personal development of students.Set the annual vision for the program.Oversee the Coordination with schools including teachers and administrators, community partners, and volunteers to deliver high-quality programming.Provide leadership support in maintaining accurate records of program participation, student progress, and feedback to inform program improvements.Oversee staff in charge of program logistics, including scheduling, transportation coordination, and inventory/resource management.Manage the daily operations of the finances of the organization including but not limited to, approving payroll, managing the budget, and monitoring finances.Work with and maintain relationships with external partners and groups to ensure education equity.

Technical Support (15%):

Provide day-to-day technical support to staff, including troubleshooting software, and connectivity issues.Manage and maintain the organization’s technology systems, including computers, printers, and software applications.Oversee IT-related equipment inventory and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.Ensure all technology used in programs is functioning correctly and is ready for use.

Supervision and Staff Management (35%):

Supervise and support part-time staff involved in program delivery, coordinating professional development opportunities and providing guidance and performance feedback.Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that aligns with ICESC’s values and mission.

Other Duties As Assigned (10%)Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in education, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent work experience including in afterschool and school day administration and instruction may be considered.Experience managing or coordinating educational or youth programs, especially in after-school settings.A deep understanding of the Indianapolis public and public-charter school systemProven experience in technical support or operations.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including students, parents, and community partners.Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.Passion for working with students of color and a commitment to ICESC’s mission.Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as program schedules require.Preferred Skills:Familiarity with educational technology tools and platforms.Experience working with non-profits or community-based organizations.Understanding of culturally responsive pedagogy and practices.
