POSITION SUMMARY:As an Inventory Control Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining precise inventory records, conducting regular audits, and coordinating inventory replenishment. Your meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills will contribute to our overall efficiency and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical abilities, effective communication skills, and a solid understanding of inventory management principles.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Perform regular inventory counts, ensuring accuracy between physical stock and recordsUtilize inventory management software/systems to update and maintain inventory dataConduct routine audits to identify discrepancies, investigate causes, and implement corrective measuresCollaborate with warehouse personnel to ensure proper stock organization, storage, and labelingMonitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment request to ensure adequate stock availabilityAssist in the coordination of shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment processesAnalyze inventory reports to identify slow-moving items, obsolete stock, and potential stockoutsGenerate accurate inventory reports and provide insights on inventory performance to managementInvestigate and resolve any inventory-related issues or discrepancies in a timely mannerMaintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines and proceduresNECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:
Proven experience as an inventory control clerk or similar role, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environmentStrong mathematical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detailLoad and unload trucks as needed, ensuring proper handling and storage of materialsDrive company trucks as required (Non-CDL, License Class C may be required)Adhere to OSHA and company safety standards at all timesCollaborate with team members and foster a positive and cooperative work environmentPhysical stamina to perform regular inventory counts and lift/move heavy items, as requiredNOTICEThe statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position.
