The Data Applications Tech Lead will manage, identify, design, ingest, organize, and analyze VS&Co data.This role is responsible for leading design, development, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement of data solutions to achieve VS&Co business goals.
The successful candidate will be a co-owner of the VS data estate, data quality, and data governance.This candidate must have strong skills and experience interacting with users, gathering requirements, designing solutions, and ensuring outcomes meet or exceed business goals.Proven data architecture and technical/solution design skills are a must.Experience in data engineering, business intelligence, advanced analytics, testing/validation, performance-tuning, and data pipeline support are critical.
Candidate must have proven skills in SQL, data design, data modeling, integration, data testing, and python on platforms/tools such as Snowflake (and Snowpark), Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, Talend, IBM DataStage, Informatica, DBT, Snowplow, Google Looker, GCP and Azure.

Your Impact
Lead understanding of business and technical requirements, create solutions that meet or exceed requirements and standards, and propose/lead solution development.Design, develop, test, implement, and continuously improve logical and physical data models on various data platforms, including Snowflake, Oracle, and SQL ServerDesign, develop, test, implement, and continuously improve inbound data interfaces, data transformation processes, and outbound data extracts on data platforms, including Snowflake, Oracle, and SQL Server, using development tools like Talend, Mulesoft, SnowPipe, Informatica, Python, DBT, and Linux scripting.Drive end-to-end data architecture required for acquiring, cleansing, transforming, auditing, and reporting data in analytical reports, dashboards, and visualizations.Develop, maintain, and publish standards, documentation, and best practices for data architecture, ETL development, data process flows, and data governance.Monitor, analyze, tune, and optimize data loads, ELT/ETL, extracts, and reporting.Partner with support team to ensure proper transition of solutions to steady state.Initiate and lead engineering for multiple data applications, including system configuration, process and code analysis, and development.Generate ideas to use emerging technology/features to improve.Demonstrate significant curiosity & gain deep subject matter expertise in multiple business areas, applications, and technical disciplines.Technical or overall lead on multiple projects or large scale programs.Accountability for business engagement to anticipate continuous improvement issues.Monitor or facilitate status communication and reporting for all initiatives in work area. Partner with PM or designated Leads.Drive awareness of status, opportunities, risks and issues of project with all parties, including senior leadership.Lead issue resolution, gap analysis, risk, remediation or similar activities with internal and external stakeholders.Teach & lead others in functional, technical, and operational activities.Click here for benefit details related to this position.
Your Experience
10+years of experience in data warehousing, data architecture, data design2-3+ years experience in data architecture and data modeling3+ years working in an Agile environment with Jira & ConfluenceProven functional & technical leadership of data warehousing tools and conceptsDeep understanding of retail business processes & supporting technologyDemonstrated ability to lead & bring creative problem-solvingStrong desire to work collaboratively as a team leader; leading & thinking progressively, encouraging collaboration, and recommending optimal solutions based on data & factsProven ability to work in a fast paced environment, manage multiple high priorities, and achieve results with limited supervisionExcellent interpersonal skills.Works effectively with all levels of the organization and geographically distributed teams, including India.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven ability to engage stakeholdersAdditional Preferred Experience
Experience in developing solutions leveraging LLMsKnowledge of machine learning pipelines and frameworks like MLFlowExtensive hands-on development experience with API integrationsExperience with other cloud data environments like GCP or Microsoft SynapseExperience with reporting tools like MicroStrategy, Looker, Tableau or PowerBIExperience with advanced analytics tools like Python, AzureML, & Google VertexBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in information technology
