PROGRAM AND ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, MIT Climate, will support the day-to-day operational needs of the Climate Project at MIT, providing programmatic and administrative assistance to the Vice President for Climate, the Climate Project Mission Directors, and Climate HQ; support onboarding and transition of new Vice President for Climate (VPC), taking on administrative and coordinating tasks as necessary; manage the calendar for the VPC, scheduling and coordinating important meetings and events, including making complex travel arrangements; fielding internal and external meeting inquiries and other administrative support; manage the calendar for one Climate Mission Director; act as primary liaison for administrative matters on behalf of the Climate Project including events, communications, and finances; and work alongside Senior Program Manager and Mission Directors to plan and operationalize community engagement opportunities, workshops, external stakeholder engagement (events, correspondence, etc.).

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of three years of administrative, office, or related experience; ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to work with students, faculty, and staff in a highly diverse, cross-cultural environment; proven interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, customer service, time-management, and organizational skills; experience organizing and managing events; discretion with confidential information and issues; and ability to work under pressure of deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
