Job Summary

The Business Systems Analyst is the technical lead for EAB and related solutions on campus. This position will review, analyze, and evaluate the system and balance user needs.

This position will become the subject matter expert on Navigate and Edify and how student data from other university systems updates, flows, and is correctly used in EAB products. The Business Systems Analyst will help define scope and objectives, develop process and workflow documentation, and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies. Working with cross-functional teams, service partners and other IT professionals, this position will communicate with leaders and stakeholders regarding business requirements, use of product, and service requirements.

Responsibilities

Understand the Navigate and Edify systems, the vision and mission of use, and how student data flows and is displayed

Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions

Create and maintain documentation of workflow and system configuration

Manage ongoing business partners relationships to provide satisfaction with UIT

Conduct system maintenance to optimize usage (i.e., working with campus partners to review and update list of services)

Collaborate with training coordinator to support campus-wide training efforts

Engage in EAB’s community of practice

Create detailed business analysis and conceptual vision for opportunities

Monitor, report and improve product performance

Create gap analysis documentation

Define business requirements and report to stakeholders

Proactively resolve customer satisfaction issues

Demonstrate business/client engagement skills. Experience in change management or relationship management is desirable.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires an associate’s degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts.

Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.

Preferences

In addition to EAB , knowledge of and experience working enterprise software (e.g. Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, College Source U.Achieve Suite, Instructure canvas, etc.)

Experience as a subject matter expert ( SME ) in a higher education student success discipline

Academic Advising, Enrollment Management, Student Success Initiatives, Scholarships, etc.
