We are currently looking to hire an Associate Executive Protection Specialist to join our team embedded with our client in Seattle! This position requires working onsite at our client's Headquarters in Seattle, WA.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Associate Executive Protection Specialist will focus on safeguarding the principals from safety and security hazards, both in domestic and international locations. The job requires a high level of personal integrity and honesty, confidentiality, good judgment, problem-solving skills, often under pressure, and the ability to follow instructions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Safeguards principals from all forms of security and safety hazards
  • Advance work:
    • Assists with site surveys for events ranging from casual to Head of State level events
  • Primary principal driver:
    • Operates vehicle in safe and comfortable manner
    • Prepares routes in advance, including alternate routes
    • Conducts vehicle checks for cleanliness, functionality, and fuel level
  • Follow driver:
    • Follows principal vehicle and provides security coverage on the road
    • Identifies threats and intervenes along route when appropriate
    • Renders aid in event of accident and other safety hazards
  • Close-in protection:
    • Provides security coverage for principals, guests and others in a professional and courteous manner, while in compliance with policy, procedures and principal preferences
  • Liaison:
    • Coordinates with internal staff and department heads when providing common support during principal activities and events
  • Communications:
    • Communicates appropriately with all principals and stakeholders
    • Writes reports, delivers oral and written briefings
  • Physical Security:
    • Standing at a static post or a walking patrol
    • Providing escorts
    • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Chief of Protective Operations
  • Run boating operations
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • Routinely manage contract vendors
  • Budget Responsibilities:
    • May be asked to provide insight or collect information for budget activities

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience: 0-2 years of related security experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Domestic and International travel may be required
  • Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; talk; hear; use hands/manual dexterity, and fingers to handle or touch/sense, and reach and stretch with hands and arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, night vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • May be required to climb or balance, crouch, squat, kneel, stoop or crawl.
  • May be required to have a sense of taste and smell.
  • Ability to occasionally run or sprint.
  • Ability to swim 25 meters, unassisted and without a flotation device
  • Ability to stay alert, professional and verbally interactive during entirety of shift

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to work collectively and collaboratively
  • Ability to obtain a firearm permit for concealed carry and carry a firearm
  • May be required to obtain guard card
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public

Seattle, Washington Pay Range

$39-$41 USD
