Your Impact

Operating out of the 24/7/365 Global Security Operation Center (GSOC), the GSOC Specialist will leverage their expertise, experience, and knowledge to evaluate, prioritize and respond to events that may impact the company or its assets. The associate will be responsible for supporting emergency and non-emergency events, inbound call mitigation to process on-site incident reports, and event driven global notification services. Personnel who work in the GSOC must be able to exercise critical thinking and sound judgment to facilitate communications with impacted Lowe's associates and impacted business leadership; communicate accurately and efficiently; problem solve an array of potential hazards, threats, and crisis to ensure communication of effective warnings. The GSOC Specialist will demonstrate the ability to operate and maintain a high degree of professionalism and customer service on a routine basis, during crisis situations or under extreme pressure while multi-tasking on competing priorities. What you will do

Process inbound incident report calls.

Obtain initial critical information for all internal or external incidents.

Write effective and concise communications that adhere to the GSOC’s world-class standards.

Communicate effectively in written and verbal form to audience that includes Senior Leadership.

Make independent decisions on responses, escalations and providing timely notifications.

Receive and exchange vital information from other business units within Lowe’s.

Utilize EverBridge’s VCC, OSINT, HUMINT, news, and other intel sources to monitor events that may impact Lowe's properties, associates, customers, and travelers.

Collaborate with business partners such as Asset Protection, Remote Monitoring Team, Human Resources, Command Center, Information Security Group, and others, as business needs arise.

Follows established GSOC protocols and procedures.

Uses critical thinking to handle events that fall in gray area.

Assist with Crisis Support Team activation.

As needed, monitor the CCTV system for situational awareness during a security incident.

As needed, monitor the Store Support Center’s on-site systems for alarms and troubles.

Completes special projects as assigned by Global Security leadership.

Support the Global Security Intelligence function, Executive Protection team and Travel Security program as directed.

Other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

High School or GED

1-3 years experience operating in a Communications or Operations Center related function or academic background in emergency management, criminal justice, intelligence studies or other security related field

1 Year Experience with communicating using Microsoft apps such as Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's Degree

1-3 years Demonstrated experience in organizing, prioritizing large amounts of data

1 Year Experience with creating PowerPoint and Visio presentations.
