Sandvik Mining & Rock Solutions , the leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service, and technical solutions for the mining industry, currently has an opening for a Warehouse Operator at the Elko, NV location.
Key performance areas
As the Warehouse Operator, you will be responsible for the shipment, receipt, and distribution of materials in a timely and accurate manner. Additionally, the Warehouse Operator will:Assists with shipping and receiving, unloading and loading of trucks, physically & systemically checks in materials into appropriate locationFiles appropriate documentsProcesses sales orders and invoices in accordance with company process.Updates and maintains warehouse location systemAssists in cycle counting and physical inventoryMaintains shipping supplies inventoryArranges shipping/transportAccepts/rejects vendor inventory transactionsBuilds sound relationships with branch team members and internallyWhere necessary, builds sound relationships with external customers to ensure smooth operationsParticipates in customer on-call service as requiresExpedites urgent orders to ensure customer receives when neededSafety and Environment
Complies with SMC safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirementsIdentifies and reports any unsafe work habits, workplace incidents and / or near missesMaintains orderly warehouse and ensures housekeeping requirements are metPersonal Leadership
Ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with Company Values and current Company Policies and ProceduresGeneral
Performs other relevant duties as assigned by Branch ManagerYour profile
Applicant will possess a high school diploma or equivalent. 6 months related work experience is preferred, however, an entry position with a candidate willing to learn is welcome to apply. Must be willing to work in a warehouse setting and must have an aptitude for learning new data input systems, and ability and understanding of Microsoft Office is required.
