POSITION SUMMARY:

The Communications Manager is responsible for supporting the development and execution of Health Dimensions Group’s (HDG’s) Managed Communities’ (MC) sales and marketing plans. This position is also responsible for creating social media strategies and campaigns as well as manage the online reputation of MCs LinkedIn, Google and Facebook pages. This position also develops and executes managed communities’ and HDG’s public and media relations as well as supports internal communications strategies, ensuring alignment with overall strategic plans in partnership with regional and MC leadership, to achieve MC sales and marketing goals. This person will be an integral member of the HDG Sales, Marketing, and Communications Team, contributing to and ensuring alignment with the overall marketing and communications strategy for HDG and its MCs.ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITES:Develops and executes public relations strategies, campaigns, and content, including news releases and media statements on behalf of HDG and HDG’s MCs; monitors HDG and HDG’s MC media mentions and updates HDG corporate, regional and community leadership as appropriate.Works collaboratively with HDG corporate marketing personnel to support needs in HDG corporate marketing and communications.Creates and optimizes MC social media pages within each platform to increase the visibility of social media content for HDG’s MCs, adhering to all HDG social media guidelines; monitors the MC’s social media accounts and offers constructive, timely interaction with users.Develops and executes social media and website strategy and messaging through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, established goals and objectives, and audience identification.Partners with each MC’s marketing team to generate, edit, publish, and share content that builds meaningful connections and encourages action; develops and implements a content editorial calendar for timely posting of these materials as well as partners with appropriate HDG and MC team members to provide creative content ideas.Develops Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn paid advertisements for selected marketing purposes and in support of employee recruitment; manages, monitors, and optimizes online platforms.Executes the marketing and digital media consent release process and documentation.Continuously improves the social media efforts of HDG and its MCs by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and best practices, and developing strategy in response to the data and outcomes. Prepares weekly reports on trends and campaigns.Manages the digital marketing, social media, public relations, and communications needs for internal and external audiences associated with onboarding and offboarding MCs from HDG’s portfolio.Leads and executes crisis communications efforts (e.g., infection prevention and response) on behalf of HDG and its MCs, including development and distribution of toolkits and materials addressing change in laws, regulation, guidance, or best practice, while promoting compliance with communications-related state and federal regulations; maintains cross-functional collaboration with HDG Operations, Clinical, Finance, and People/Culture teams to align strategies, communication, and goals. Interfaces with agencies as necessary.Develops internal and externaly facing communications and graphic design materials in partnership with HDG Graphic Designer, in support of HDG and its new and existing MCsContributes to the implementation and management of appropriate search engine optimization (SEO) and analytic tools.Listens and engages in relevant social discussion about HDG, its MCs, and their competitors and/or industry, recommending best practices and keeping current on new technologies.Performs other duties as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE:Knowledge:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and Concrete 5 required.Familiarity with electronic email marketing and website management software required; knowledge of database systems a plus.

Knowledge of social analytic tools, web design/development, AP style, and SEO preferred.Skills:

Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills required.Strong detail orientation, with good multitasking and organizational abilities.

Abilities:

Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients, colleagues, and team members at all levels of the organization.Handles confidential information with a high degree of tact and professionalism, in compliance with HIPAA.Adherence to HDG’s corporate values of hospitality, stewardship, integrity, respect, and humor.

Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related disciplineFive years of social or digital media marketing and communications experience required; previous experience working in a healthcare and/or aging services setting preferred.
